Walking and driving instructions

Andamira Waterfall is roughly a 1hr10 minutes’ drive away from Sydney, or just 15minutes’ from Gosford town centre. From Sydney travel north on the M1 (roughly for 1h). Take the Central Coast Hwy/A49 exit from M1, then slide left onto B83 and follow it for the next 2.5km. Turn left onto Girrakool Rd and follow it until you reach the official Girrakool Picnic Area (650m). The road is a sealed one.

The car park is huge, PAID (8$ as per 2019) and has all sorts of facilities, including toilets, BBQ, picnic tables and track’s signs.

From the parking follow a well-maintained Girrakool Loop (anti clock-wise). You will reach the waterfall (seen from 'Andamira Lookout') within 5 minutes. Return via the same route, total walking time is 10 minutes.

Best option to visit this waterfall is to walk the whole Girrakool Loop - you will see 2 waterfalls and cascades, Andamira Waterfall, Girrakool Waterfalls and cascades. Total walking time is 40 minutes.

Andamira Waterfall is a permanent waterfall, but best to visit is after decent rain.
