Wallaman Falls is roughly a 1hr’ drive away from Ingham. Part of the road is unsealed, and still can be accessed using a normal vehicle or a campervan/motorhome; however, towing caravans are not recommended. If you drive from Ingham, follow Lannercost Street which becomes Fairford Rd, then Trebonne Rd and then Abergowrie Rd for 10km until you reach Trebonne. In Trebonne turn left into Stone River Rd and follow it for the next 5.7km, then turn right into Venables Crossing Rd, then left again into Lannercost Ext Rd, and finally turn right into Wallaman Falls Rd. The road goes up the hill and has a few unsealed sections (roughly 12-15km in total). Follow Wallaman Falls Rd for 35.5 km until you reach the official Wallaman Falls Parking.

The car park is huge and has all sorts of facilities, including toilets, BBQ and picnic tables. Campground is available nearby.

From the parking follow an easy and wheelchair-friendly walking patch which in a couple of minutes brings you to the upper waterfall lookout. You can see the falls from a distance and enjoy the view. Return via the same route.

If you have time, we would highly recommend to do 2hrs Lower Lookout track. A reasonable level of fitness is required due to significant uphill section. From the parking follow a well-signposted and well-maintained walking path which brings you to a wooden platform, offering an unforgettable view of the waterfall. The way to waterfall is an easy downhill walk and takes roughly 45 minutes; however, the way back is a bit more difficult due to uphill sections. Make sure you have at least one bottle of water and your head is covered. Total walking time is about 2hrs.

Wallaman Falls is a permanent waterfall. Beautiful all year round. Best time to visit – Dec to Mar.
