Walking and driving instructions

Billabong Zoo Waterfall is roughly a 15-minutes' drive away from Port Macquarie. From Port Macquarie head south-west on Oxley Highway/B56 until you reach an intersection with A1. Continue until you reach the next right turn; turn right onto Billabong Dr (well signposted) and follow it for the next 500m until you reach the zoo car park. The road surface is always sealed.

The car park is huge. Leave your car hear and head to the zoo reception, and buy a zoo ticket. The entry prices vary from $17 to $32 per person; always check the official site regarding open hours and entry price.

From the entrance follow the path which leads to a saltwater crocodile pool. Billabong Zoo has a ‘monster’ saltwater crocodile – Shrek – now approaching 5m in length and weighing over 500 kilograms. He is approximately 50 years old; the waterfall is here, behind the crocodile pool.

The walking time from the reception to the pool with the crocodile and waterfall is 2-5 minutes, but, of course, you will spend much more time at the zoo.

Billabong Zoo Watferfall is a permanent waterfall.
