Walking and driving instructions
Babbage Falls and Little Falls are roughly a 25 minutes’ drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center head north along the M1 which becomes A1. Then turn right onto A38 and follow it for 0.9km, then turn left onto Archbold Rd. After 700m turn right onto Roseville Ave, and park your car at the beginning of this road. The road is a sealed one. There is no car park as such; also there are no facilities there (no toilets), but there are park and track signs there ('Little Digger Track'). The track follows the creek which has a couple of waterfalls (Liewellin Falls and Carlyle Falls) en route. First one is reached within 5 minutes of easy walk, then a few other cascades and one more waterfall near the golf club. From the golf club, the track climbs and emerges to Braemar Pl, and then follows along Carnarvon Rd, then goes back to the Moores Creek. A few more minutes of walk along the creek, and you will reach the Little Falls (signposted), probably the less impressive waterfall along this walk. It is feed by the same creek but for some reason it has less water comparing to other waterfalls. Babbage Falls is found 5 minutes walk downstream from the Little Falls. It's signposted as well, and it's definitely more beautiful. Yet, better to visit during rainy season. Return via the same route (total walking time is 1 hour). The creek and nearby areas, unfortunately, have lots of rubbish. Please make sure you take your rubbish with you! Babbage Falls and Little Falls can be almost dry during summer and autumn. Best time to visit - after a decent rain. |
