Walking and driving instructions
Queens Cascade is roughly a 1hr30 minutes’ drive away from Sydney, or just 5minutes’ from Wentworth Falls town centre. From Sydney travel west on the M4 which becomes A32 until you reach Wentworth Falls (roughly 1h30minutes). Then turn left onto Falls Road and follow it for the next 2km until you reach a round-about and Wentworth Falls Picnic Area. The road is a sealed one. The car park is huge and has all sorts of facilities, including toilets, picnic tables and track’s signs. From here, follow the walking path which leads to Fletchers Lookout and Queens Cascade. In 15-20 minutes descending around 200 steps you will reach Fletchers Lookout, which (probably) provides the best view of the Wentworth Falls. From here continue on to the main trail and check the top of the Falls and Queens Cascade (total walking time is about 1hour-1.5hours). There are multiple options to combine with walk with some other to make a loop using Undercliff track or historic Princes Rock lookout track. Queens Cascade is a permanent waterfall, but best to visit is after decent rain. Ideal time to visit – late autumn, winter, early spring. |
