Walking and driving instructions
Woolgoolga Creek Falls is roughly a 30minutes’ drive away from Coffs Harbour, or 1.5hours’ from Grafton. From Coffs Harbour travel north on the A1 for 25km. In Woolgoolga, on a round-about, turn left onto Woolgoolga Creek Rd and follow it for the next 4.2km until you reach Woolgoolga Creek Falls Picnic Area. Last 1.1km of the road is a gravel road. A good size car park has all sorts of facilities, including toilets, covered picnic tables and track’s signs. From the parking, follow a more or less easy Woolgoolga Creek Walk, which in roughly 30 minutes brings you to the falls’ base. There are six creeks’ crossings which can be difficult during rainy season – take extreme care, and bring your gumboots with you. Return via the same route. Total walking time is 1-1.5hrs. Woolgoolga Creek Falls is a waterfall which might have little or no water at all during dry season. Ideal time to visit – late autumn, winter, early spring. |
