Maleny Gardens Waterfalls are roughly a 45 minutes’ drive away from Sunshine Coast, or 1hr 20 minutes' from Brisbane. From Sunshine Coast travel west along the State Route 8/Maroochydore Rd. At the roundabout, take the 1nd exit onto Woombye Palmwoods Rd, which becomes Palmwoods Montville Rd, and finally merges onto Tourist Drive 23 (south-bound). In Maleny turn left onto McCarthy Rd, then turn right onto Mountain View Rd. Turn left onto Maleny Botanic Gardens parking immediately after merging back onto Tourist Drive 23. The road surface is sealed.

Park entree fees (walk only): $16 per adult (as per 2019).

There are all sorts of facilities available here, including gift shop, cafe, toilets, picnic tables, etc.

From the entrance follow a well-maintained walk through the gardens. First, Main Waterfall, is reached within the first few minutes. Other cascades, Bamboo Falls and Twine Falls are found nearby.

Total walking time: allow 30 minutes.
