Walking and driving instructions
Gordon Falls is roughly a 1hr40 minutes’ drive away from Sydney, or just 10minutes’ from Katoomba. From Sydney travel west on the M4 which becomes A32 until you reach Leura (roughly 1h30minutes). Then turn left onto Leura Mail and follow it until intersection with Olympian Parade. Turn left onto Olympian Parade. The Gordon Falls car park is at the end of Olympian Parade. The road is a sealed one. The car park has a limited number of spaces. If you don’t find a space, try to park your car on a side of the road. There are picnic tables and a playground here, but no toilets. The nearest toilets found at Leura Cascades car park. From the parking, follow an easy and well-maintained Gordon Falls walking track. You will reach the falls lookout in 2 minutes. There some stairs at the end of the walk. The waterfall is seen from a distance. The closer approach is not possible. Return via the same route. Gordon Falls is a waterfall which might have little or no water at all during dry season. Ideal time to visit – late autumn, winter, early spring. If you’re allowed to fly a drone near this waterfall, then you will be able to take best photos. |
