Walking and driving instructions
Parsley Bay Waterfall is roughly a 20 minutes’ drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center follow William St which becomes New South Head Rd. In Vaucluse turn left onto Hopetoun Ave, then in 900m, on a round-about, turn left onto Fitzwilliam Rd and follow it for the next 450m, then turn right onto Parsley Rd then turn left onto Horler Ave. There is a car park at the end of this road. The road is a sealed one. The car park is relatively big, has beach access, toilets, showers, cafe, drinking water and kids playground, as well as the track's map, picnic tables and rubbish bins. Picnic area locked at 6pm (8pm daylight-saving time). From the parking a well-established track climbs along the stream. The walk starts behind the map boad and has some stairs, hence not suitable for wheel-chairs. In 5 minutes you will reach the waterfall, which is initially seen from a concrete bridge over the creek. A closer approach is possible with care. There are stunning downstream cascades, don't miss them. Return via the same way. Parsley Bay Waterfall is a permanent waterfall, but best to visit is after decent rain. |
