Walking and driving instructions
Kershaw Gardens Waterfalls are roughly a 10-minutes' drive away from Rockhampton city centre. From the city centre travel north along the A1, cross the Fitzroy River, and in a minute you'll see Kershaw Gardens (to your right). Follow the main road until you reach the northern end of the gardens, then turn right onto High Street, and the turn right again on a round-about. There is a small parking area there. There are no facilities there, for toilets, playground, etc. park on the Moores Creek Road Car Park. From the High Street Car park follow a well-maintained walking path, always keep to the right, which brings you to a large pool and beautiful waterfalls within a couple of minutes. You can either have a picnic here, or just enjoy a view. From the pool either return via the same route, or continue walking the whole circuit. It's an easy and flat walk through the People’s Forest, Grevillea Hill and the Wetlands. |
