Walking and driving instructions
Cedar Creek Falls is roughly a 30-minutes` drive away from Airlie Beach, or 1hr 40-minutes` from Mackay. From Mackay head north along the A1 until you reach Proserpine, then slide right onto State Route 59. After 5.5km turn right onto Conway Rd and follow it for the next 8 km. Turn left onto Saltwater Creek Rd and stay on it for the next 2.7 km then turn right onto Cedar Creek Falls Rd. Follow this road for the next 1.3 km until you reach the end of the road. The road surface is un-sealed for the last 1.3 km. The park facilities include toilets and changing rooms. From the parking follow an easy walk which leads down to the falls base. It is a very popular swimming hole. Don't forget a towel. Return via the same route. Total walking time is about 5 minutes. Cedar Creek Falls might be completely dry (refer to our photos). Best time to visit - Feb-Mar, or after heavy rain. |
