Walking and driving instructions
Hopkins Falls is roughly a 15 minutes’ drive away from Warrnambool, or 3 hours from Melbourne. From Warrnambool Town Centre head north on the B120. Turn right onto Wangoom Rd and follow it for the next 8 km. Then turn right onto Hopkins Falls Rd and stay on it for the next 4.2km. There is a huge car park immediately past the bridge over the Hopkins River. There are BBQ area and toilets available here. It is a short walk (1 minute) from the parking to the upper viewing platform. Accessible for a wheelchair. We highly recommend walking down the stairs to the lower viewing platform. It takes roughly 5 minutes to reach the falls’ base. The view from here is spectacular. Return via the same track. The waterfall is attractive after rain (as per photo). Unfortunately, during dry summer there could be little or no water here. |
