Walking and driving instructions
Tipperary Falls is roughly a 15-20 minutes’ drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center head west along the A4, then slide right onto the A40. After 4.3km slide right onto Burns Bay Rd/Gladesville Bridge. Immediately after the bridge, turn left onto Gladesville Rd, then slide right onto Ryde Rd. After 1km turn right onto Park Rd. Leave your car on a side of the road immediately after a round-about (350m). Alternatively, you can park your car on the official Boronia Park parking (at the beginning of Park Rd, 350m before the track's entrance). The road is a sealed one. All sorts of facilities are available in Boronia Park, including toilets, BBQ, Playground and picnic tables. From Park Rd walk through the park entrance and follow a concrete road almost till its end (until you see a sign 'Buffalo Creek Park). Then turn left onto the walking track, which in roughly 3 minutes will bring you to a picnic area near the creek. Follow the creek (upstream) for 1-2 minutes until you reach the base of the waterfall. Return via the same way. Total walking time is about 15-20 minutes. Tipperary Falls might dry out completely. Best time to visit it after decent rain. |
