Walking and driving instructions
Dangar Falls is roughly a 1 hour’ drive away from Coffs Harbour, or about 1hour30minutes’ from Armidale town centre. From Coffs Harbour travel south on the A1. Then turn right onto Waterfall Way (B78) and follow it for the next 40km until you arrive to Dorrino. In Dorrino turn right onto Vine St, which becomes Hickory St and finally Coramba Rd. Dangar Falls Picnic Area is on your right, 2.1 km from Dorrino Town Centre. The road is a sealed one. A good size car park has all sorts of facilities, including toilets, picnic tables and track’s signs. It is a very short and easy walk from the parking to the Upper viewing point. You can see the waterfall and its upper cascade clearly from a distance. Return via the same route (2-5 minutes total walk); or you can walk to the falls’ base, just follow the track which descends to the river. It’s an easy walk, and we really recommend it. The way to the falls’ base takes roughly 10-15 minutes, and the way back is 15-20 minutes. Dangar Falls is a permanent waterfall which flowing well throughout a year. |
