Walking and driving instructions
Callicoma Falls is roughly a 1hour 15minutes’ drive away from Coffs Harbour, or just 22 minutes’ from Dorrigo town centre. From Dorrigo travel south on the B78 (Waterfall Way) for 2km. Then turn left onto Dome Rd and follow it for the next 1.4km, and then near Dorrigo Rainforest Centre keep to the left (stay on Dome Rd). A car park, to your right, is 5.5km away from begging of the road. The road surface is unsealed for the last 2.8km. The car park, signed, doesn’t any facilities other than a track sign. Nearest toilet is at Never Never Picnic Area. Be aware of snakes. From the parking follow Blackbutt Track for roughly 30 minutes until you reach the waterfall. Return via the same track. Total walking time is about 1hr. You can visit this waterfall as well as Casuarina Falls doing the whole Blackbutt Track: start the walk from Never Never Picnic Area, follow Blackbutt track, then return by the road. Total walking time is about 3hrs. Callicoma Falls is a permanent waterfall flowing well throughout the year. |
