Walking and driving instructions
Curtis Falls is roughly a 45 minutes’ drive away from Gold Cost, or 1hour 10minutes’ from Brisbane. From Gold Coast travel north on the M1. Take the Pacific Motorway exit from M1 and head west on the SR 95 (Tamborine Oxenford Rd) for 21.7km. In North Tamborine village turn right onto Dapsang Dr (well signposted). The car park is to your left, 120m from beginning of the road. The road is a sealed one. The car park has a few dedicated spaces as well as toilets and picnic tables. From the parking a well-maintained walking path descends to the Cedar Creek. The first part of descent is a gentle downhill walk, and the second one is a set of stairs. On the track’s junction keep to the left and take a short side track which brings you to a wooden viewing platform. Return via the same track (total walking time is about 30 minutes), or from the track’s junction you’ve got an option to do Lower Creek Circuit (allow 1 hour for the whole circuit). Curtis Falls is a permanent waterfall, but it might have little water in a dry season. Best time to visit – after decent rain, or Jan to Mar. Note: you can start the track from Eagle Heights Rd (SR 95). Walking time is about the same as above (30min). |
