Walking and driving instructions
Bronte Falls is roughly a 20 minutes’ drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center follow William St which becomes New South Head Rd. In Double Bay turn right onto Ocean St. On a T-type intersection turn left onto Syd Einfeld Dr, then in 1.2km slight right onto Bondi Rd, then slight right onto Council St and eventually slight left onto Bronte Rd and follow it for the next 1.2km. Try to find a parking bay on a side of this street. The parking is paid (Jun-Aug 2P 9am-6pm $4.20/hr; Sep-May 1P 9am-8pm $4.20/hr). The road is a sealed one. There are picnic tables and benches available in the Bronte Park. The closest public toiles is near the Bronte Beach. The track starts near the Historic Bronte House (470 Bronte St). Walk down towards the creek and in a couple of minutes you will reach the falls top. Then the track descends via a set of stairs along the series of water-steps (cascades) to the falls' base. Return via the same route. Total walking time is 10 min. Bronte Falls is a permanent waterfall, but best to visit is after decent rain. |
