Walking and driving instructions
Lal Lal Falls is roughly a 25minutes’ drive away from Ballarat. From Ballarat travel south-east on the A300 for 23km. Turn left into Clarendon-Lal Lal Rd, which becomes Lal Lal Falls Rd. In 7.7 km you will reach Lal Lal Falls Reserve (well signposted). The road surface is sealed. The huge car park is well signposted. All types of facilities are available here, including kids’ playground, toilets and picnic tables. From the parking follow an easy downhill walking path which brings you to the upper viewing platform. The walk is suitable for wheelchair/kids strollers. Unfortunately, a track to the base of the falls has been closed for ages. We don’t recommend to take this walk, please keep to the official track. Return via the same track. Lal Lal Falls is a permanent waterfall, but it looks really impressive after rains. 5.6km walk to Granite Falls and Moorabool Falls begins on Harris Rd. |
