Walking and driving instructions
Kingfisher Pool Cascades are roughly a 1hour' drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center head south on the M1 then on the A1. In Waterfall, roughly in 44km, take Kooraban St Exit. Follow Kooraban St then turn right onto Warabin St and follow it for the next 550m. Park your can at the end of this street. The road is a sealed one. The parking has no facilities (nearest toilet is in Waterfall) other than a tracks' sign board. From here, follow the main track, which leads to the pools. It is steep and rocky dscend at the beginning, then more or less flat and well-signed track. 1.7km to the pools. There is a campsite there with picnic table and a long-drop toilet. The cascades are best to photograph from the main (lower) pool. Total water-drop (including all cascades) is about 8m, but each of the cascade is 2-3m. Return via the same route.Total walking time is about 1hr20min. Alternatevly, you can walk this track as a loop and return via Mooray Track. Kingfisher Pool Cascades are permanent cascades. Note: We tried to find Myuna Pools and its falls, walked a couple of un-official tracks, but didn't find them. |
