Walking and driving instructions
Lilly Pilly Falls is roughly a 15-20 minutes’ drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center head north along the M1, then slide left onto Pacific Highway. Follow it for the next 3.5km, then turn left onto Innes Rd which becomes Valleyview Cres. Park your car on a side of this road. The road is a sealed one. From this street find an entrance to Lane Cove Bushland Park (photo in the Gallery). There are no facilities there other than a park sign. Descent to the creek, then keep to the left (don't cross the creek) until you reach the exit from this park. Now cross River Rd and cross the creek, then find the beginning of a short track (signed 'Gore Creek Reserve') which brings you to the waterfall. There is a sign and a photo of the waterfall here. You can descent to the falls' base. Return via the same way. Total walking time is about 20min. Alternatively, you can start your walk from River Rd, in this case total walking time is 7-10 minutes. Lilly Pilly Falls is a permanent waterfall, but best to visit it after decent rain. |
