Walking and driving instructions
Sangrado Falls is roughly a 25 minutes’ drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center head north along the M1, then slide right onto the A8 (Military Rd) and follow it for the next 5.5km. Turn left onto Battle Blvd which becomes Palmerston Pl, then slide left onto Ponsonby Parade. After 300m slide right onto Sangrado St. There is a dedicated parking after 130m from beginning of the road. The road is a sealed one. The parking is quite a big one, but has no facilities other than a great kids playground nearby. From the parking follow a well-established walking path, which desdents to the beach via a set of stairs. Near the beach, keep to the left. The waterfalls is just 1-2 minutes' walk from here. Return via the same way. Total walking time is about 10min. Sangrado Falls might dry out completely. Best time to visit it after decent rain. During heavy rain there is one more waterfall nearby (before reaching the main one). |
