Walking and driving instructions
Castle Rock Waterfall is roughly a 30 minutes’ drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center head north along the M1, then slide right onto the A8 (Military Rd) and follow it for the next 6.5km. Slide left onto Sydney Rd, then on a round-about turn left onto Ethel St. After 500m turn right onto Maretimo St which becomes New St W (follow it for the next 500m). Turn right onto Beatrice St. After 1.5km turn left onto Cutler Rd, then after 700m turn right onto Barrabooka St which becomes Ogilvy Rd. Leave your car on a side of the road. The road is a sealed one. There is no car park as such, no any other facilities. From the road follow Castle Rock Track towards the beach. A set of stairs brings you to the Castle Rock Beach. A short (4-5m) waterfall is found at the head of the beach. Return via the same way. Total walking time is about 10min. Castle Rock Waterfall might dry out completely. Best time to visit it after decent rain. |
