Walking and driving instructions
Beauchamp Falls is roughly a 1-hour’ drive away from Apollo Bay, 2.5 hours from Melbourne. From Apollo Bay Town Centre head east on the B100. In 7 km turn left into C119 and stay on it for the next 14.5km. Then turn left into C159, sealed winding road, and follow it for the next 16km. Turn left into Binns Rd, then turn left again into Beauchamp Falls Road (signposted) which is an unsealed road. Stay on it for the next 3 km until you reach a car park. The dedicated car park is at the end of Beauchamp Falls Road. All facilities (toilets, picnic tables, etc.) are available here. From the parking follow a 30-minutes’ Beauchamp Falls walk. The first part of the walk is a down-hill section, then it follows the creek for a few minutes. The last part is a set of stairs. There is a great viewing platform at the end of the track. Return via the same track. Don’t forget, it’s an uphill walk when you’re going back. Usually, the way to the falls takes roughly 20 minutes, and the way back is about 40 minutes. Reasonable level of fitness is essential. Beauchamp Falls is a permanent waterfall. |
