Walking and driving instructions
Kareena Falls is roughly a 40 minutes’ drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center head south on the M1 then on the A1. Take Port Hacking Rd Exit, then follow Port Hacking Rd for the next 4km. On a round-about slide right onto Kareena Rd. Camellia Gardens car park is to you left, immediately past an intersection with President Ave. The road is a sealed one. The car park is relatevly big; all facilities, including toilets, picnic tables, cafe, are found at Camellia Gardens. Please check the official site for open hours. The car park is open 24hrs. From the parking walk towatds the creek (do NOT go to the park), then follow it downstream ntil you reach the bottom of the waterfall. Return via the same route. Total walking time is 5 minutes. There are smaller cascades are found on the Kareena Creek in the Camellia Gardens, not far from the entrance. Kareena Falls is a permanent waterfall, but best to visit is after decent rain. |
