Walking and driving instructions
Frenchs Creek Falls are roughly a 30 minutes’ drive away from Sydney CBD, or just 10 minutes’ from Frenchs Forest. From Frenchs Forest travel north on Forest Way, then turn left onto Glen St. On a round-about turn right onto Pringle Ave, then turn left onto Haigh Ave. In 600m turn right onto Wanniti Rd. Leave your car at the end of the road (200m). The road is a sealed one. There is no car park as such; also there are no facilities there (no toilets), but there is a track sign there. From the end of the road follow Frenchs Creek Track, which is a downhill walk for 5 minutes until you reach a side track (on your right) which brings you to the top of the first waterfall. From here, continue on to the main trail for roughly 15 more minutes and you will hear the second waterfall. An un-official path leads to the falls' base. Take extra care. Return either via the same route (total walking time 30 min), or you can extend your walk further - Frenchs Creek Track will join the Cascade Trail which will eventually brings you to the Cascades. Frenchs Creek Falls are seasonal waterfalls which could be completely dry. Best time to visit - after a decent rain. |
