Walking and driving instructions
Minnamurra Falls is roughly a 2hrs' drive away from Sydney CBD, or 40 minutes' from Wollongong. From the Sydney or Wollongong head south on the M1. Slide right onto the A48/Terry St immediately after the bridge over the Macquarie Rivulet. Follow Terry St, which eventually becomes Jamberoo Rd, for the next 12km. Then turn right onto Jamberoo Mountain Rd, and then turn right again onto Minnamurra Falls Rd. After 4km you will reach Minnamurra Rainforest Centre with a huge parking area. The road surface is sealed. Park entry fees: $12 per vehicle per day. There are all sorts of facilities there, including Visitor Information Centre, wheel-chair access, toilets, etc. The gates close at 5pm. From the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre follow The Falls Walk (a continuation of the Loop Walk), which in roughly 20-30 minutes will bring you to the upper and then to the lower viewing platform of Minnamurra Falls.Return via the same route.Total walking time is about 1 hour. Minnamurra Falls is a permanent waterfall; best to visit is after decent rain. Note: all photos are taken from the Information Board. |
