Walking and driving instructions

Curra Brook Waterfall is roughly a 1 hour’ drive away from Sydney CBD. From the city center head south on the M1 then on the A1. In Lotus, roughly in 33km, take Farnell Avenue Exit (has 'Royal National Park' sign) which becomes Sir Bertram Stevens Dr. Follow this road for 13km, then slide left onto Wattamolla Rd ('Wattamolla Beach' sign) and follow it for the next 3.4km. A huge parking is found at the end of the road, near the beach. The road is a sealed one. Park entry fees: $12 per vehicle per day.

The car park has all sorts of facilities, including picnic tables, BBQ and toilets. Ideally, park at the end of car park, at P5 or P4, which is closest to the beginning of the walk.

From the parking follow the Coast Track for 3.3km, roughly 1h, until the first appearence of the waterfall from a distance. Yet, you can take good photos from here, if you've got a camera with a good zoom and the weather is not windy. If you start the walk from the main car park and go via Lookout, then you will reach this view after 3.8km of walk, or 1hr15min.

From here follow the mail trail for 500m until you see a sign 'Curracurong' and stunning cascades indicating the top of Curracurrong Falls. Cross the creek via a foot-bridge and make your own way to see the Currarurrong falls (you won't see it from the official track).

The top of the Curra Brook Waterfall is about 200-300m of further walk from the top of the Currarurong Falls.

Return via the same route. Total walking time: 2-2.5hrs if you start/finish at P5/P4 car park; or, what we highly recommend return via scenic lookout, 2,5-3hrs.

Curra Brook Waterfall is a permanent waterfall, beautiful all year round.
