Walking and driving instructions
Broken Falls is roughly a 30 minutes’ drive away from Halls Gap. From Halls Gap Town Centre head north on the C216. On the junction with C222, turn left and follow it for the next 16.8km. Then turn right onto Wartook Rd and stay, then turn left. You will reach a car park in 1km. The road surface is sealed. The huge car park is well signposted (‘Mackenzie Falls’). All types of facilities are available here, including toilets and picnic tables. From the parking turn left and follow a well-maintained track leading to Mackenzie Falls and Broken Falls. In 2 minutes a walking path leading to Broken Falls branches of the main track. Turn left and in 3 minutes you’ll be on the upper lookout platform. Enjoy the beauty of the falls from a distance. The track is suitable for wheel-chair/ kids stroller. Return via the same route, or continue on to the main track to visit Mackenzie and Fish Falls. Broken Falls is a permanent waterfall. |
